Dear Friends and Family,

Dr. Oswalt holds degrees from Taylor University, Asbury Theological Sem-inary and Brandeis University, where he received the Ph.D. in Mediterranean Studies and interest in Old Testament studies with attention to the Hebrew lan-guage and to the formation of Hebrew religion against the background of the ancient Near East.

He has written articles for encyclopedias, scholarly journals and popular religious periodi-cals. He has written articles dealing with the application of Biblical teachings to modern ethi-cal questions. He has authored 11 books, best known being a two-volume commentary on Isaiah in the New International Commentary on the Old Testament series. He was the Old Testament editor of the Wesley Bible, a study Bible from the Wesleyan perspective by Thom-as Nelsen. He is one of 11 members of the editorial team, which has revised the Living Bible for Tyndale House. He is now under contract to write a commentary on the Books of Kings in the Evangelical Exegetical Commentary being produced by Logos.
Dr. Oswalt is an ordained United Methodist Minister, with membership in the Kentucky Annual Conference. He has served pastorates in New England and Kentucky and is a frequent speaker in conferences, camps and local churches. He has taught and preached in sixteen countries outside the U. S. and is an associate evangelist with the Francis Asbury Society, Wilmore, Kentucky.

He is married to the former Karen Kennedy, and they have three children and five grand-children. Make plans to come and be a part of this great weekend of preaching and teaching. Services will be Friday night at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and Sun-day at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. with a combined Sunday School class at 10 a.m. Be in prayer as we approach this time for all to come together and sit at the feet of a man called by God to teach and preach the uncompromised Word of God.
